About Origin Pakistan

Who We Are

Origin Pakistan is an English-language news platform delivering breaking news, in-depth reporting, and analysis on Pakistan, world affairs, business, technology, sports, and entertainment. Built as a fast, mobile-first newsroom, we cover the stories that matter to readers in Pakistan and the Pakistani diaspora around the world, with a focus on clear, accurate, and timely reporting.

Origin Pakistan was founded to fill a gap for readers who wanted fast, reliable English-language coverage of Pakistan without having to piece it together from multiple outlets. The newsroom continues to expand its coverage areas and features while applying the same editorial standards across everything we publish.

Our Editorial Process

Every article published on Origin Pakistan is credited to the responsible individual contributor or Origin Pakistan Desk, as applicable. The byline identifies the editorial responsibility for the story, and readers can use the linked author or Desk page to view its published work. Corrections are made openly when an error is found afterward. The specific standards Origin Pakistan follows for accuracy, sourcing, and corrections are set out in full in our Editorial Policy, below.

Editorial Policy

Origin Pakistan is committed to accurate, fair, and independent reporting. Every story published on this site is expected to meet the following standards:

• Accuracy first. Facts are verified before publication; when an error is found after publication, it is corrected openly rather than silently edited.
• Editorial independence. News coverage is not influenced by advertisers, sponsors, or any outside party. Advertising, when present, is kept clearly separate from editorial content.
• Attribution and sourcing. Reporting is attributed to the responsible individual contributor or Origin Pakistan Desk, as appropriate, with sources identified as clearly as the story allows.
• Corrections. Readers who spot an error are encouraged to reach out via our Contact page; confirmed errors are corrected promptly.
• Respectful coverage. Reporting avoids unnecessary harm, sensationalism, or discrimination, and aims to represent all communities in Pakistan fairly.
