Iran says several neighbouring countries have sent messages about shaping new regional security arrangements, as Tehran pushes for greater cooperation among countries in the region.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said the messages also included proposals related to economic cooperation. His comments come as regional governments reassess their security priorities amid continuing tensions involving Iran and Israel.
Ghalibaf said Iran wants regional countries to play a greater role in determining their own security arrangements rather than relying on outside powers.
