Radio Pakistan reported on 25 October 2026 that Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi had assured that the planned F-9 Park upgrade in Islamabad would not involve cutting trees or adding new concrete structures. F-9 Park is also known as Fatima Jinnah Park, according to The Express Tribune.

According to Radio Pakistan, the proposed improvements include better lighting, improved walkways, coffee shops, a lake and thousands of additional trees. These are reported plans, not confirmation that the work has been completed.

A separate theme-park proposal

HUM News separately reported that a proposed theme park in Islamabad was associated with a memorandum of understanding involving the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Saudi investors.

What remains unclear?

According to HUM News, the announcement it reviewed did not specify the proposed theme park's location, investment amount or development timeline. The reporting reviewed does not establish that this separate theme park would be built at F-9 Park.
